In the early 1990's, the owner of a struggling small copy shop in Greenville, SC decided to contact his former classmate, Jordan Finn (CPA), to assist him with his business. The company at the time was performing legal copy work and tabs. The business had very few assets and far too much debt to provide an optimal outlook. The owner offered to sell his small copy shop to Mr. Finn, who at the time was a CFO of a publicly held company in Miami, Florida. After analyzing the investment vs. return, Mr. Finn purchased the assets of this small copy shop in late 1993.

Indexx Inc. was formed and open for business on January 1, 1994. After addressing the many financial issues that had burdened the former copy shop, including liens from the IRS, Mr. Finn quickly immersed himself in the printing business to understand his existing and future customer base. Indexx's initial service offering was in legal copy work and tabs but in order to grow, he had to add more services. Mr. Finn invested in high-speed black and white copiers and small-format offset presses.

In 2006, Indexx moved into their current facility which was formerly a ten theatre movie complex (known as the old Haywood Cinemas to many locals) in the heart of Greenville, SC.

The renovations to the new facility took a year to complete. The 52,000 sq. ft. facility allowed for further expansion in all areas of the company, including the addition of an internal mail house. As part of this move, the company was rebranded to better reflect all the quality aspects Indexx is known for by their customers. The new tagline, From Promise to Print was released as part of this branding initiative as it was their differentiator from all other printers in the local market.
